MINING

MATRIX Engineering Works has provided civil engineering works for Jamaica’s natural and built environment.

Our bridges and buildings, railway and high level equipment maintenance projects support daily life, work and the movement of goods for the island.

Our engineering workshop, where it all began in 1973, continues to provide machining, fitting and welding services for in-house and out-of-house projects.

An aggregate mining company, Matrix Concrete Products, produces construction materials — crushed stone, washed and coarse sand, gravel — for concrete, asphalt and drainage applications.

Our quarry is strategically located in Old Harbour, St Catherine, serving the needs of mid-island customers.

Our mining operations are focused on safe and environmentally responsible mining practices.

PHILANTHROPY

We've formalized the way we give back.

The MATRIX Foundation was established to mark our fifty years of doing business in Jamaica and to formalize the support we have always given to our communities and young people.

Our first outreach event, the MATRIX Foundation Sporting Clays Tournament, was successful for both our sponsors and the competitors.

Proceeds from the event go towards a much needed water project at the Good Hope Primary School in St Catherine.

MANUFACTURING

Matrix Chemicals (established 1981) is the Caribbean’s largest industrial manufacturer of bleach.

Additionally, we make a variety of no-frills, high-quality household cleaning agents, liquid detergent products, and synthetic protectants available to the public at ex-factory prices.

We are committed to providing world-class manufacturing services to our clients. Our manufacturing facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and our team of experts ensure the highest quality standards are met.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

(MTL) MATRIXTech, established in 2014, focuses on research and development of water and sanitation treatment products.

MATRIXTech is Jamaica’s only manufacturer of Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC) in liquid form (MATPAC) — the global standard for potable water and wastewater treatment.

Our Spanish Town plant serves the procurement needs of corporate, industrial and public utility users locally and regionally.

MATRIX evolved from a single-shed workshop in 1973, to a ten acre facility today, on the strength of our founder’s three core values: humility, reliability and integrity. This has served us well in our 50 years of doing business in Jamaica. Our roots are in Twickenham Park, St Catherine but our reputation and evidence of our work is island-wide.
